We
are asking our customers in the 474 zip code area to contact the Unites States Postal Service along with their
congressional representatives and legislators to express their displeasure with the recently
announced Area Mail Processing Feasibility Study.
Make these officials aware that the degradation of service that is likely to occur if the processing of the 474 zip code
mail is transferred to Indianapolis is unacceptable. Tell them that the virtual loss of the Bloomington
postmark (unless you stand in line to see a window clerk or, drop your mail in at a selected collection box at the post office), is unacceptable.
Contact your U.S. House and
Senate members and tell them to, "Keep the Service in My Postal Service!"
The USPS is soliciting comments from the customers in the 474 zip code area. Please, let them hear from you! Let them know what you expect from YOUR POSTAL SERVICE. We are asking that you tell them we need to keep or improve the level of service that we currently have in the 474 zip code area. Acting to consolidate operations just for the sake of doing so, doesn't make good sense. In fact, it didn't make sense in the early 1990's, it didn't make sense in 2007 and it still doesn't make sense today.
Please Send Your Comments to the USPS:
